Italian Grilled Onions

These onions are great as a side dish for any main course or layer them on burgers and sandwiches!


1 lb. purple onions
2 Tbs. olive oil
1 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. fresh rosemary, minced
2 Tbs. fresh parsley, minced
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt


Mix together oil, vinegar, rosemary, parsley, oregano, pepper, and salt in a glass dish.  Cut onions into slices and place them in the dish, as well.  Turn them to coat them with marinade mixture.  Place onions on a grill and cook until just tender.
