As determined as I was to keep up with my blog, everyday life got in the way once AGAIN and time got away from me. So, I’m back and going to try this again.
Funny how back when I was a child, my parents had time to relax and enjoy family time, even after my mom cooked all three meals from scratch all day long and washed up all the dishes (with no dishwasher, I might add). I remember her being in the kitchen all day cooking breakfast, washing dishes and then she’d immediately start preparing the next meal. My dad was a barber and he started to work at 8 am and would work until 7 or 8 pm every evening. And somehow, they still found time to enjoy life and visit family and friends. Continue reading →
As I had mentioned in an earlier post on February 4th, Could She Be “America’s Next Top Model”?, my daughter has decided she wants to pursue a modeling career. A few weeks ago, Little 1 Consignment offered a contest to receive entries for the top ten children with the most votes to win the opportunity to perform in their upcoming TV commercial. I figured this would be a great beginning experience to add to her resume so I entered her in the contest. Continue reading →
Time really does ‘fly’ by. I remember when I was 14, I couldn’t wait until I turned 16 and my dad always used to tell me, ‘Honey, don’t rush time because the older you get, the faster time will fly by.’ Of course I couldn’t understand because to me, time was time. It didn’t change, it didn’t move any faster, or so I thought. Needless to say, about 20 years later, I completely understood that statement. Now, each year, month and day seems shorter and shorter. There’s a lot of weight loss plans out there today and as I posted in my previous post, “Does ViSalus (Body by Vi) Really Work???,” I did months of research until I found ViSalus. What a blessing! I began my ’90 Day Challenge’ on February 22nd. I have continued to drink the two shakes per day along with a healthy, nutritional meal and occasional snacks, and one week after my start date, I had lost 10 lbs. I’m excited and really impressed with the ViSalus products! I have felt better this past week than I have felt in years! I sleep better at night, wake up refreshed in the morning, am not hungry between meals, no longer crave sweets and have a huge amount of energy that I’m not used to having. I’m really enjoying dropping the weight with no jittery side effects, all the nutrition needed and with a shake that is actually filling and delicious! Continue reading →
For months, I searched the internet and compared all the ‘shake’ weight loss plans I could find. In the past, I’ve tried diet pills, diet plans, Medifast, Slimfast, along with several others. Personally, I didn’t like the taste of the shake plans I tried, which made it harder to stay dedicated. As usual, I failed once again at losing weight.
I was searching for something that works well and still offers the vitamins and nutrients my body needs daily. ViSalus seemed to have the best reviews so I began doing a lot of research on the Body by Vi shakes. Once I decided I wanted to try it, I debated and continued researching another few weeks. On February 11th, 2012, I decided to join the 90 Day Challenge. Did I make the right decision? ABSOLUTELY!!Continue reading →
This past week, I realized there really was a life outside of the internet! Sorry I fell a little behind on posting this week but life has been so busy. I’ll try to make up for the slack in the next few days.
Our youngest daughter’s class held a ‘wax museum’ at her school Friday. Her dad and I went to eat lunch with her then visited the Wax Museum in the Media Center. It was really a neat idea the way it was set up. Each child portrayed a historical, legendary and important character. We saw Andy Griffith, the Wright Brothers, Blackbeard, Michael Jordan and many more. Continue reading →
